Hi there, I’m Evelyn and I’m known to spend prolonged periods of time staring at screens. I love archive, I love the moving image, I love storytelling.
I’m a documentary film editor and writer with two decades of experience shaping nuanced, character-driven nonfiction for major international broadcasters, streaming platforms and global film festivals. I’m passionate about telling stories that explore the environment, climate change, social justice, arts and culture, current affairs, history and the human condition.
With a background in cinema and post-production from the UK, USA and Ireland and a deep passion for archive, sound and narrative craft, I bring clarity to complex material. Whether I’m editing intimate vérité, structuring investigative narratives, or weaving archive-rich histories, I focus on making documentary films emotionally engaging, structurally strong, accurate and accessible.
My work spans global broadcasters and streamers including the BBC, Channel 4, CNN Films, VICE, Sky Arts, Al Jazeera English, Canal+, Amazon Prime and Apple TV. Films I have edited have screened at DOC NYC, Telluride, Tribeca, CPH:DOX, the BFI London Film Festival and festivals worldwide.
Career highlights include serving as Associate Editor to Walter Murch on the theatrical feature documentary Coup 53 and editing films recognised by Peabody, Lovie, Webby and Broadcast Digital awards, as well as BIFA and Grierson nominations. I’ve also had the good fortune to combine my love of travel and languages with this creative work.
Currently based in London, with the ability to work internationally, I edit onsite or remotely, helping directors and producers elevate their vision and shape powerful nonfiction stories.
