Weaving stories together. Now let’s tell yours…
I’m Evelyn Franks, a documentary editor and writer. I enjoy editing and writing challenging and thought-provoking documentaries across artistic, human rights and environmental themes. Previous films have premiered at major festivals: Telluride, Tribeca, BFI London Film Festival and DOC NYC, with other documentaries screening on broadcast tv and streaming platforms including the BBC, Channel 4, CNN Films, HBO Max, Al Jazeera English, VICE, Mercury Studios, Canal+, SBS, Amazon Prime and Discovery+.
Collaborative by nature and forensic with footage, I combine instinctive storytelling with emotional depth to produce documentaries that capture, engage and move audiences. Career highlights include my role as Associate Editor to Walter Murch on the feature documentary Coup 53, alongside films and programmes recognised by Peabody, LOVIE, Webby, Frontline Club, Eutelsat and Broadcast Digital awards and BIFA and Grierson nominations.
