Weaving stories together. Now let’s tell yours…

I’m Evelyn Franks, a documentary editor specialising in films projected across screens large and small. I enjoy editing challenging and thought-provoking documentaries across artistic, human rights and environmental themes. Previous films have premiered at Telluride, Tribeca, BFI London Film Festival and DOC NYC, with other documentaries screening on broadcast tv and streaming platforms.

Creative and highly organised, I employ a strong intuitive ability in structuring narrative, pace and tone. Always a keen collaborator, I am equally content editing alone, sifting through hours of footage to discover the hidden gems. Previously I had the privilege to work on the documentary film COUP 53 with the legendary film editor and sound designer Walter Murch, which premiered at the Telluride Film Festival.

Known for delivering quality award-winning work, I'm constantly developing new ideas and stories and I also have the flexibility to work remotely. Responds positively to tea and daylight.
